Komal returns
Methinks you still remember her. It would be so bad of you to just forget her. You know, she sang that bhangra song (Bao Ji) and dabbled in singing. She also acted in a few plays and didn’t do a bad job. But her moment of fame arose when she went to India and remained there for quite some time, even became a VJ on one of the Indian music channels. Yes, the reference is to a certain Komal Rizvi.
With this being the age of comebacks (Kanwal, Bindiya, etc), the latest news (which is more of grapevine than news) is that Komal is staging or at least trying to stage one too. She’s been in touch with some known musicians of Karachi (such as an ex-Vital Signs member) perhaps through a microblogging site, testing out her melodies with them. It’s more than likely that Komal will soon hit the airwaves (please don’t hit them literally). In that case, welcome but try not to redo Bao Ji. Once is enough.
