عدنان سمیع کی تیسری شادی، اسلام آباد میں دعوت ولیمہ
اسلام آباد: معروف گلوگارہ عدنان سمیع نے تیسری شادی کے بعد اپنی نئی دلہن کے ہمراہ اسلام آباد کے ایک ہوٹل میں دعوت ولیمہ کا اہتمام کیا ۔ اس موقع پر میڈیا سے گفتگو میں عدنان سمیع کا کہنا تھا کہ ان کی نئی اہلیہ کا تعلق افغانستان سے ہے اور وہ جرمنی میں رہتی ہیں ان کی شادی ممبئی میں ہوئی ۔

Lahore movie denied release in Pakistan
MUMBAI: Yet another initiative to defy all the boundaries and show the world that no war is bigger than the silence of peace has gone in vain. Based on Kickboxing Sport, the most critically acclaimed Indian film of this season, LAHORE which releases globally on 19th March, 2010, has been denied a release in Pakistan.
The reason that the concerned authorities in Pakistan mention is the title of the film, which is being looked upon as creating hassles in the neighboring country. In addition also a thought that all the Indian Films show Pakistan in a negative way, is the another reason that the film did not get the permission to be released in Pakistan. Though the Director, Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan tried to take a step ahead in bringing down barriers and also taking a gutsy decision of naming his film to Lahore, but now it all seems to be going against him.
Produced by Sai Om Film Pvt. Ltd. and being distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures in India, Lahore stars a blend of talented vast like Farouque Shaikh, Nafisa Ali, Sushant Singh, Shraddha Nigam, Saurabh Shukla, Kelly Dorji, Sabyasachi Chakraborty, Late Nirmal Pandey & Mukesh Rishi. The film also marks the Debut of Aanaahad & Shraddha Das in the lead pair.
The story of LAHORE is about Veerender Singh from India, played by debutant Aanaahad, who is living with an aspiration to quench the thirst of revenge for a long forgotten wrong doing and restore the lost pride. He has to satisfy the nation and a billion. Though he is a sportsperson, who has to win the Kickboxing Tournament for his nation, but more than this sport, is a vengeance mounting deep somewhere in his heart which is much bigger than any victory. Will he be able to retain the pride of his country as well as fulfill his wish and retaliate back for one ill event that changed his life forever? Is what is to be seen….
Lahore is being looked upon as the most authentic sports film ever made in India and despite of the film being shot in Pakistan itself, it hasn’t got a nod from the neighbors. Well As the tag line of the film says, “Beyond borders, between Nations lies a battle to end all wars”. What is to be seen now is that will the film end all the wars or will it indulge itlsef in to a political and debatable war which might do a financial damage to the film and its makers.

لاہور : ادکارہ وینا ملک اور کرکٹر آصف کے درمیان قرضہ کا تنازعہ حل ہوگیا ، آج دونوں کی ملاقات میں محمد آصف نے 32 لاکھ روپے ادا کر دیئے جبکہ وینا کا کہنا ہے کہ اب بھی ایک کروڑ 20 لاکھ روپے باقی ہیں ۔

ZQ becomes Aamir Khan
The guy-magnet gal ZQ, aka Zainab Qayyum, was being interviewed on a local TV channel recently by two people who discussed a great many things all pertaining to how good a person, actress and anchor she is. While that was not newsworthy, what was so was the brief chitchat on Indian actor Aamir Khan.
ZQ also did a terrible impersonation of Aamir Khan and had the latter seen the show he would’ve been smiling at the very least. Methinks if ZQ can adopt the same tone for the morning show she does, she’ll be a roaring success…rest assured.

دوسری جانب وینا ملک سے محمد آصف کے وکیل خالد نے رابطہ کیا ہے اور مسئلے کو مل بیٹھ کر حل کرنے کی بات کی ۔ اے آروائی سے گفتگو میں وینا ملک واضح کرچکی ہیں کہ پیسے نہیں ملے تو تھانے اور عدالت سے رجوع کرسکتی ہیں۔

Ali Zafar Stars in Bollywood’s Tere Bin Laden
So you know how all these people from Pakistan’s entertainment industry (film, music, what not) get picked for Bollywood projects and then milk it for all its worth? Well, just some of them, and we shall not name names.
Anyway, in what seems a trend for princely Pakistani popstars this year, Ali Zafar will be crossing over to the film industry in a July release. Unlike the current trend though, Ali will be appearing in a Bollywood flick – in the lead role! Ach mein Gott! What a coup!
The film is called Teray bin Ladin, and wrapped shooting last year. Shankar, Ehsan and Loy are behind the music and the stage is set to depict Pakistan. Pakistani media to be precise, with Ali playing Ali Hassan, a small-time news reporter who wants to make the bigtime and produces a fake Osama video to this end.
Although Ali has been offered films from B-land before, he chose this particular one because: “the script sounded intelligent and fun, out of the box and over the top. Also the story revolves around Pakistan and a Pakistani, something that people over here could relate to and enjoy on a whole new level. It was fun to see our culture recreated in Mumbai on the sets ofthe film.â€
Definitely a heartthrob, Ali did not just want to flash his good looks in the film. “I wanted my first film to be something more than a chick flick and also challenging for me as an actor,†he says, “I hope this film would serve as something larger than just sheer entertainment.â€
But that is not all Ali hopes to achieve with his first step in the film direction: “My goal is to help revive the Pakistani cinema in the coming years using international platforms in collaboration with our industry.â€
Can we just say, we are very excited, as not only does the film sound fun, but Ali’s plans sound very ambitious too. Also, it will be fun to see which of the pop royalty will come out on top with his film. A little competition only ever proves to be thrilling, as we always say.

Komal returns
Methinks you still remember her. It would be so bad of you to just forget her. You know, she sang that bhangra song (Bao Ji) and dabbled in singing. She also acted in a few plays and didn’t do a bad job. But her moment of fame arose when she went to India and remained there for quite some time, even became a VJ on one of the Indian music channels. Yes, the reference is to a certain Komal Rizvi.
With this being the age of comebacks (Kanwal, Bindiya, etc), the latest news (which is more of grapevine than news) is that Komal is staging or at least trying to stage one too. She’s been in touch with some known musicians of Karachi (such as an ex-Vital Signs member) perhaps through a microblogging site, testing out her melodies with them. It’s more than likely that Komal will soon hit the airwaves (please don’t hit them literally). In that case, welcome but try not to redo Bao Ji. Once is enough.

Though Adnan Sami’s scheduled wedding on January 31 to his Afghani-German girlfriend Roya Faryabi in Munich fell through, it now comes to light that the couple had a secret nikaah ceremony at Adnan’s residence in Mumbai on Friday, January 30, a day before the wedding cards announced the wedding in Munich.
Only close family members of Adnan were present at this nikaah.
Says a source close to Adnan, “The wedding in Munich had to be cancelled because the courts did not allow Adnan to leave the country. There are serious charges of domestic violence against him.†Rather than cancel the wedding, Adnan decided to have a flash ceremony in Mumbai. All the arrangements were made by Adnan’s son Azaan.
At first Adnan was reluctant to confirm the development, but finally said, “Yes, we got married last Friday in a secret nikaah. And we’re loving it.â€
Adnan now intends to host a wedding reception in Munich at Roya’s place and then another reception in Mumbai for all his friends. But as things stand now, Roya and Adnan are man and wife.
Speaking from Munich, Adnan’s third wife Roya Faryadi says, “Adnan is the perfect man for me. I love not just the man but also his mother and son. In fact, Adnan’s son Azaan and I get along like a house on fire. We often gang up together and tease the hell out of Adnan.â€
Roya says she is not the least perturbed by Adnan’s past record of broken marriages. “What happened in the past is the past. What I see is a man I’d like to spend my life with. Adnan is kind, caring and gentle. I hope we can make our marriage last forever. Like any good wife, I plan to shift to Mumbai to be with Adnan and his family. But I’ll keep visiting Germany. That’s where my parents stay.†Roya’s parents are from Afghanistan. They moved to Germany 30 years ago and hold German passports.

Shoaib Mansoor at it… again?
Well, news is that after his successful shot at feature film-making (Khuda Ke Liye) Shoaib Mansoor is making, or intends to (or so the rumours float around) another film. If gossip-weavers are to be taken seriously, the cast of his film includes Mahira Khan, pop star Atif Aslam and model/actress Umaima. Some say Iman Ali also has a role to play in the movie, but it’s not dead certain. Is she in, is she not… what the heck. Shoaib Sahib is an intelligent man, rest assured. His efforts are never half-baked or meaningless. You always expect something out of the top drawer from him. However, casting individuals like Atif Aslam and Mahira Khan (as characters other than their real selves) raises a question on the actors’ list. Perhaps it’s a reservation expressed way too soon…
